HOW TO PLAY MELODIES ?
A Rapid Adam® Course
for the Clarinet,
(if you can already play a little

For number 4, the covered keys are 0,1,2,3 and 4.  Number 2 requires covering  keys 0,1 and 2.
Easy, don't you think?

The minus sign points out the keys that should not be covered. For example, 5-4 requires fingering 5 while excluding 4 (key #4 must not be covered).

A key shown with smaller and larger numbers means the smaller one should only be opened  a little bit.  For example, means fingering 5 but with zero slightly opened.

Ø  is a grip where zero canīt be used.

-1
is a grip with the key nearest your nose, the left forefinger shall bend over it.

+ activates the key nearest to the valid grip.

*
a star in an elevated position connects + with the zero..

  LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE SOUND
When you blow out the air through the mouth your tongue works as a valve. The sound depends for instance on the hardness of the reed and even on how you blow the sound.
